Interests

My current scholarly activities include (a) an exploration of mothering from the margins and (b) an investigation of the implications of discourses of femininity for women's health. I am a co-investigator for a longitudinal study of women (living in the Prairie Provinces) who have been abused by intimate partners. Previous projects have included the construction of gender in written texts and other topics related to the psychology of women (e.g., sexual harassment, pornography, mother-daughter relationships, work and family responsibilities).
