Interests

Broadly, my research interests include the study of addictive behaviours from the neurochemical to the cultural level of analysis. I am particularly interested in understanding the etiology and determinants of addiction-related disorders, including gambling and cannabis-use disorders. I am also deeply interested in understanding how self-deception, construed as a voluntary failure to explore anomaly, acts as a barrier to the treatment of addictive behaviour problems.
