Interests

My research interests are fairly broad; they include media influences on attitude and behaviours with respect to body image, course development and technology (i.e., blended learning), psychology and music, and the positive effects of having pets. I supervised my first Honour’s student in 2003 and have since supervised 1-2 honours students a year.

My interests outside of teaching psychology and research in psychology include playing piano / keyboard in Cochrane's Riverside Jazz band, hiking with my rescue dog Zhenya, and dabbling in learning Russian language.

I also enjoy kayaking, and have gone caving a couple of times, and have also mushed husky dogs (sledding) a couple of times. All are highly recommended. :)
