Professional Summary

Dr. Laura Hambley is an Organizational Psychologist based in Calgary, Alberta and currently runs her own practices – The Leadership Store (www.leadershipstore.com) and Calgary Career Counselling (www.calgarycareercounselling.com). Laura has over 13 years of experience providing organizational consulting to public and private organizations in Canada, as well as internationally. She has gained experience both through internal roles and as an external consultant in a wide range of organizational settings.

Her consulting work has also included leadership development and selection assessments, team building, career planning, training, conflict management, development planning, leadership coaching, and organization surveys/studies.  In addition to consulting, Laura enjoys teaching at the University of Calgary and has been an Adjunct Professor since 2010.

Laura has received several awards for her research on virtual team leadership, has published chapters on this topic in two books and several journals, and has presented at international conferences.

Dr. Hambley is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, and a member of the Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She is also a board member of the Calgary Strategic Capability Network.
