Recent work has focused on information-processing in a variety of close relationships (e.g., dating and marriage, grandparent-grandchild relationships, mother-son relationships). A secondary line of inquiry within this paradigm concerns people's willingness to forgive a partner for his or her transgressions in a relationship. Interests in the area of close relationships extend to the dynamics of trust and adult attachment, and decision-making and construal processes.
