Interests

My current research focus is upon explorations of the concept of "nature," adopting some of the current theoretical thinking in psychology to this topic. For example, I'm working within the relational framework sketched out in constructionist psychology to elaborate our interchanges with the world. As well, I'm expanding my writing to include more literary approaches, responding to the recognition that academic writing poses limits on the kinds of issues that can be addressed in the realm of "nature." Here I'm working within the traditions of critical/theoretical psychology, qualitative and discourse analysis. I'm also continuing my work investigating the historical antecedents of various methods used in the social sciences.
